Day 1
Arrive LGW/LHR and transfer to the cathedral city of Winchester. Rest, relax and an early dinner. Overnight Winchester (2 nights).
Day 2
Today’s visits will give a powerful insight into Jane Austen’s life in various key locations. In the cathedral there will be time to pause at her grave before attending Choral Evensong.
Day 3
En route for Bath, visits to Mompesson House and Montacute House, both used in the filming of Sense and Sensibility. Overnight Bath (3 nights).
Day 4
Beginning at the Jane Austen Centre, a day full of themed visits that include No 1 Royal Crescent, a Georgian garden, and a closer look at the costumes of the period.

Day 5
A day for you to enjoy this elegant city and pursue individual interests. This evening supper and readings from Jane Austen’s novels in a very special setting.
Day 6
Traveling through the Cotswolds, it’s a light-hearted but well informed literary tour of Oxford before reaching the capital. Overnight London (2 nights).
Day 7
A day to explore and a final evening at the theatre.
Day 8
Airport transfers or independent extensions.

Flights to London.
Friday

Arrive LHR or LGW, where arrangements can be made to meet and escort you to Windsor for a cup of coffee, a leg stretch, and, perhaps, a visit to the Castle (opens at 9:45 AM). Or plan a visit to Cliveden for a stroll around the great formal parterre and the “secret garden” (opens at 11:00 AM), before heading for Winchester, the former Saxon capital of England. Time to explore this afternoon. Dinner at the hotel. Overnight Winchester (2 nights).
Saturday
This morning enjoy a special tour of Jane Austen’s home at Chawton, and the neighboring countryside she knew when she was a girl. The tour will include Winchester Cathedral, where she is buried, and a viewing of the Winchester Bibles. Balance of the day and evening at leisure.
Sunday
After Sung Eucharist at 11:15 AM, to Salisbury for a visit to their cathedral, a photo op at Stonehenge and then into Bath (2 nights).
Monday
A specially themed tour to focus on Jane Austen and the life and times of Georgian England. Afternoon at leisure.
Tuesday
From Bath straight back to London. Evening free to discover more of London.
Wednesday
At leisure in London to pursue individual interests. Final evening at the theatre.
